Dad is being secretive about the cruise so all I know is that we leave on Wednesday and will be gone for 2 weeks at least. He’s always been secretive about surprise vacations and they usually turn out great but I remember one year when it turned out to be a total disaster. He set up a vacation in Florida and of all the things, a hurricane decided to make shore two days into the vacation.
Can you say “Time to get the heck out of Dodge”? Well that’s exactly what we had to do because they were under a mandatory evacuation. The Keys is not the place to be when a big bag of wind wants to vacation there too.
Well as usual my father has set up a vacation for us. The cool part is he’s taking all of us on an Alaska cruise. That’s totally awesome. It’s too hot for a Caribbean cruise and that’s usually what he does with us in the fall or winter so the Alaskan cruise is perfect. I’m not sure of all of the details yet but one thing I love about it is the fact that it’s not going to be super hot. He went online to some discount cruise site and got a really great price for us. Thank God he got a separate cabin for me instead of having to share a cabin with my parents.
I told my Dad that I needed a new laptop or notebook and he started researching right that second. I guess for his money and service he thought a Dell laptop was the best. I didn’t really care especially since I didn’t have to buy it myself. What he got really surprised me.
He got a Dell Alienware. It’s really a gaming computer but he didn’t have any games preinstalled because he doesn’t want me playing games instead of studying, his words not mine. Anyway it’s not only cool looking but man does it have all of the bells and whistles I would ever need. You got to check them out at dell.com. They are totally awesome and be prepared that they are a bit pricey. Check it out.
Since I’ll be going back to school this fall and I really need a new laptop. I had thought about checking on Ebay but then decided not to because I need all of the latest and greatest bells and whistles possible. What I really need is a Dell laptop or maybe an Apple notebook. Apple makes a great notebook and it is more expensive than a Dell laptop but in the end, it’s worth it.
You know, my father said that he would pay for everything to do with me going back to school so I think I need to just tell him I need a new laptop and let him go buy what he wants. That’s the best way to do it because he’ll buy the best no matter what the cost.
I guess of all of the holidays, Independence day is one of my favorite!! I love the cook outs, the games, being outside and most of all, the fireworks!! Well the food is awfully good and I do love to eat. Besides, you get to spend time with family and friends and celebrate what a great country we live in too. So I hope you all have as great a July 4th as we have planned.
